PREGLED

“The Story of the 1.5° C Limit” project aims to empower young people and organizations working with youth in the Western Balkans region to better understand the ecological crisis and advocate for solutions using civic education and art, with a special emphasis on literature. The focus is on raising awareness and providing practical tools for action in local communities, equipping participants to drive sustainable change.

The primary target group of this project consists of young people, particularly those with fewer opportunities, while the secondary group includes youth workers and organizations working with youth. Their collaboration enables more effective problem-solving within communities.

The project seeks to deepen understanding of the climate crisis through non-formal education, offering both theoretical knowledge and practical methods. Participants explore concrete solutions tailored to local needs, including sustainable systems such as zero-waste practices, public advocacy, civic engagement, and artistic methods of expression.

Through creative writing and climate fiction, the results of the activities are communicated to the broader public in innovative ways. This artistic approach enhances understanding of ecological challenges and encourages the wider community to actively engage in addressing them.

“The Story of the 1.5° C Limit” project connects education, local action, and artistic expression to inspire young people and organizations to become agents of change and create a better future for the Western Balkans region.
