SUMMARY

The activities are implemented with the support of Zero Waste Europe under the grant “Advancing the Zero Waste Cities Agenda”. The project aims to establish waste prevention as a recognized, systematic, and measurable component of waste management in Montenegro. Its primary focus is on reducing food waste through practical activities in urban gardens, demonstrating that waste prevention is not merely a concept, but a solution that can be successfully integrated into everyday life.

At the same time, the project connects work with citizens and local communities to the development of public policies, promoting the recognition of food waste prevention as an important measure for climate protection and more efficient resource management. By strengthening institutional capacities, the project contributes to the development of long-term solutions for cities striving to reduce waste at its source.
