PARTNERS

Summary

This cross-border project will be implemented in Gusinje, Montenegro and Margegaj, Albania. We chose Gusinje as it is a small rural municipality with beautiful nature, which, due to insufficient waste management, is susceptible to waste dumping. We plan to make a systematic change by implementing home and community composting, (door-to-door) separate waste collection, promoting waste prevention methods and raising awareness in the community. We are implementing the Zero Waste Cities Program for the first time in Montenegro, starting with the small municipality and hopefully guiding others in the near future.
