As part of Circular Economy Week 2025, members of the LogEx network across the Western Balkans are organizing a series of events that promote sustainable development through the application of circular economy principles. This year, under the slogan “From local fixes to regional impact,” LogEx partners aim to connect stakeholders from various sectors and contribute to a transformation towards a greener and more sustainable future.

In that spirit, Zero Waste Montenegro, a LogEx member from Montenegro, is organizing a three-day camp titled:
“ReThink, ReConnect, ReCycle: A Circular Economy Camp for Change,”
which will take place from May 30 to June 1, 2025, at Camp Ćuk in Danilovgrad.

The camp will gather activists, experts, and organizations working on topics related to the circular economy and sustainable development. Over three days, participants will engage in both formal and informal activities focused on improving policy in the field of circular economy.

The main outcome of the camp will be a set of proposed measures for the circular economy in Montenegro, with an emphasis on innovative actions and solutions. Participants will also map local initiatives and best practice examples, discuss tools for policy advocacy, and record a series of video testimonials that will be used to produce three short promotional reels. These videos will help bring the concept of the circular economy closer to the public through the voices of the activists participating in the camp.

Why is this important?

The LogEx Community, initiated by The Balkan Forum, was established in 2021 to bridge the gap between education and the labor market in the region. By strengthening human capital, promoting circular economy, and supporting sustainable practices, LogEx contributes to the development of the region through the principles of green transition.

Circular Economy Week 2025 seeks to send a clear message through regional events:
Change starts locally – but creates a global impact.

LogEx network members include:

The Balkan Forum (Kosovo), CIVIL / Green CIVIL (North Macedonia), Build Green Group (Albania), CENER 21, COD Jajce (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Universum International College (Kosovo), Zero Waste Montenegro (Montenegro), YIHR (Serbia).
