On Monday evening at Kokotov Rep, we opened the “Time for Action – Zero Waste” Art exhibition. We showcased designs that emphasize responsibility, sustainability, and the importance of reducing daily waste.

The relaxed atmosphere of the exhibition encouraged young artists to connect and draw inspiration. It also aimed to spark conversations about sustainability and environmental protection. All participants received gifts, including tote bags with their designs, thermos bottles, and a special keychain linked to a tree that we will plant together as part of reforestation efforts of Lješkopoljska Gorica hill with the Social Enterprise “Ozelenimo”

We sincerely thank all participants who submitted their works. The winners highlighted the importance of active citizen engagement in nature conservation and waste reduction. Above all, we want to thank our partners at the French Embassy in Montenegro. As well as the Environmental Protection Agency for their wonderful collaboration. The presence of the French Embassy and the Environmental Protection Agency reinforced the importance of global partnerships in tackling environmental issues.
A big thank you to Kokotov Rep for their hospitality and to everyone who joined us! If you missed the opening, you can find the works in the digital catalog we have prepared.

One of the unique aspects of this exhibition is its zero-waste approach. Every part of the event was planned with sustainability in mind. Subsequently minimizing waste during setup to use repurposed materials for the frames—each artwork was displayed in a frame made from reused cardboard. Another highlight of the evening was celebrating the three winning artists. All young creatives with fresh perspectives on sustainability. The first-place winner, a young artist from Montenegro, shared how this recognition was especially meaningful to him. In addition to applying to various contests in the past without securing first place, this achievement gave him a renewed sense of motivation. Making him feel that all his hard work had truly paid off.
