The construction industry is experiencing technological innovations that enable its digital transition throughout building lifecycles. To tackle this Zero Waste Montenegro was participates in the Circular DigiBuild – an Interreg Danube Region Programme project (2024–2026) bringing together 38 partners from 13 countries to accelerate the transition of the construction and building industry towards circular economy models enabled by digital technologies.
One of the milestones of the project was the creation of the networking innovative space for boosting innovations in circular digitalised construction in Danube area. This effort led to the launch of the the Circular DigiBuild B2B Platform in 2025.
The platform serves as an online collaboration and knowledge‑sharing environment, operated by Joint Controllers. It fulfills a dual purpose:
- Providing a hub for B2B information exchange, networking, and partnership opportunities at regional level;
- Offering insights into policies and emerging technologies that support circularity in construction throughout the Danube Region.
Organizations can use the platform to showcase their expertise, share projects and achievements in digital construction, and connect with partners for collaboration and development. Key functionalities include user and organizational profiles, partner search and matchmaking, event registration, access to knowledge resources, forums, and communication tools – all designed to strengthen innovation and cooperation in the construction and circular economy sectors.
The Circular DigiBuild project is supported under the Interreg Danube Region Programme, co-funded by the European Union. The project aims to foster the transition of the construction industry towards circular economy models through the application of digital technologies.
