On May 27, an event was held at Europe House in Podgorica, where we presented the international cluster for circular digital construction, developed within the Circular DigiBuild project implemented through the Interreg Danube Region Programme for the 2024–2026 period.
The event was opened by Vanja Cicmil (Zero Waste Montenegro), who presented the key achievements of the project, followed by Tanja Rakonjac (Zero Waste Montenegro), who introduced the CiDiCon Cluster together with the B2B platform, with a focus on opportunities for regional cooperation with stakeholders from the construction sector across the Danube Region.
Olga Sanina, project associate and environmental protection and sustainable development specialist, spoke about the local challenges of the sector and opportunities for digital transformation in Montenegro, with an emphasis on policies and good practices from the Danube Region that promote circular solutions in the construction industry.
A special highlight was the presentation by Prof. Dr. Ema Alihodžić Jašarović (Faculty of Architecture, University of Montenegro), who shared innovative approaches to reuse and circular design in the development of new materials, as well as the outstanding achievements of her students in this field.
The event brought together representatives of institutions, the private sector, the academic community, and civil society organizations, who provided valuable recommendations through an open discussion for improving policies in the construction sector and proposed cooperation at both local and regional levels.
